Vic: Man's arm caught in circular saw

A Victorian man has been airlifted to hospital after catching his arm in a circularsaw at his home south of Melbourne.

Metropolitan Ambulance Service spokesman JAMES HOWE says the man, in his 70s, was usingthe saw at his Dromana home, on the Mornington Peninsula.

He became stuck after slicing his right arm between the shoulder and the elbow aboutmidday (AEST).

He was trapped for 40 minutes before being freed by paramedics.

The man's been airlifted to The Alfred hospital in Melbourne, and is in a serious butstable condition.
