Internship gives teens corporate experience

Nneka Jenkins hit the ground running at Dunkin Donuts.
"I'd told my supervisor that I wanted to be exposed to as much about marketing as possible," recalls the enthusiastic Jenkins, an intern with the Ad Club Foundation's Summer Internship Program.
The 8-week full-time paid internship gives college students of color hands-on experience with how corporations relate to the public and grow their businesses. The program is headed by Gail Jackson, director of the Ad Club Foundation.
Jenkins goes into her senior year at UMass/Dartmouth this fall.
